Founded by art consultant Mary Dinaburg, critic Saul Ostrow, art historian Kathy Battista and financial planner Bryan Faller, Art Legacy Planning brings together a multiplicity of art world expertise to offer a much needed and unique organization. Mary Dinaburg

Principal

Mary Dinaburg brings to ALP four decades of experience in the art world. From setting up galleries and private advising to exhibitions and projects with major museums and corporations. She has worked all over the globe, with extensive experience in Asia. She has experience working with pre-eminent artists including, among many others, Julian Schnabel, Isa Genzken, Sigmar Polke, and William Legman.

Saul Ostrow

Principal

Saul Ostrow is a critic and the founder of the The Critical Practices Inc., an organization that fosters research, teaching and practice dedicated to social justice and change. A renowned thinker and writer, he has four decades of experience in the contemporary art world. He was previously acting head of MFA studio program at New York University and Director of the Center for Visual Art and Culture at The University of Connecticut. He is Art Editor at Bomb and Editor of the Routledge book series Critical Voices in Art, Theory and Culture.

Kathy Battista

Principal

Kathy Battista is an Art Historian, Curator and Director of the Master’s program in Contemporary Art at Sotheby’s Institute of Art, New York. Her main areas of research include intergenerational feminist art and the recovery of under-recognized artists. She is the author of Renegotiating the Body, Feminist Art in 1970s London as well as New York New Wave: The Legacy of Feminist Art in Emerging Practice. She is also co-editor of the forthcoming Creative Legacies: Critical Issues in Artists Estates to be published by Lund Humphries in 2019.

Bryan Faller

Principal

Bryan Faller is a financial advisor at The Faller Company LLC, a third-generation family owned and operated investment management firm. He has many years of experience in visual arts and has worked at The Pace Gallery, New York and founded a gallery with The College of New Jersey. He is a faculty member of Sotheby's Institute of Art and co-editor of the forthcoming Creative Legacies: Critical Issues in Artists Estates to be published by Lund Humphries in 2019.

Salvatore Schiciano

Chief Operations Officer

Salvatore Schiciano brings comprehensive managerial knowledge and experience to the ALP team. Before joining Art Legacy Planning, he was the Director at the historic Tibor de Nagy Gallery, New York where he fostered relationships with artists and artist’s estates and a wide range of institutions. Salvatore has also worked at a number of galleries in New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, as well as Florence, Italy.
